Gerald has undoubtedly lived a long and prosperous life. In his younger years Gerald himself was an avid sportsman and gifted athlete holding records in Track, Baseball and Football. In 1953, Gerald joined the Navy, despite several college scholarship offers. Gerald later went on to become a Hotel Entrepreneur retiree but never could shake himself from his love of collecting sports memorabilia. From the age of 12, Gerald had begun collecting sports cards and memorabilia and by the time he entered the Navy, had collected 100 Mickey Mantle Rookie cards in addition to several other highly valuable pieces. He continued to add to his collection to also include Football, Basketball, Hockey, Soccer, Golf and even NASCAR. Gerald also attained additional valuables such as the Stradivarius Violin, rare Elvis Presley collectibles, Walter Hagen & Jack Nicklaus golf clubs, 2 Herman Goering personal lugers, Beatles Memorabilia and more. As a young boy raised on the family farm to the crossing of oceans serving as a Navy Frogman in the Korean War, Gerald has a story unlike any other. At the age of 75, Gerald would like to leave his legacy to sports enthusiasts by placing his collection into a museum setting so as to honor the sixty plus years of passionate and dedicated collecting. Without further a due, we are pleased to present you with, “The Collection”.
